Assala Announces New Song “Shbeh Rohe”

Syrian superstar Assala Nasri announced Thursday on Instagram her latest song “Shbeh Rohe”.

It is by the lyrics of Anwar Almushiri, composed by Fayez Al Saeed, and produced by Rotana.

The superstar is one of the best female singers in the Middle East. She was born in Damascus to a middle-class couple, her father Moustafa Nasry, was a well-known Syrian composer and singer.

She began her musical career by performing patriotic, religious, and children’s songs when she was four years old.

Nasri made her music debut with the 1991 album “Law Ta’rafou”. The album featured four songs in the oriental operatic tarab style.

It was an instant hit with heartbreaking songs like “Ya Sabra Yana” and “Samehtak Ketir”.

She quickly proved her presence in a growing industry brimming with new, young talent such as Saber Rebai, Angham, and Abdelmajeed Abdullah.

Nasri booked herself a place along with the Arab singing legends among great albums over two decades.
