Serie A side AS Roma announced the signing of Brighton striker Evan Ferguson to strengthen their attacking lineup during the current summer transfer window.
In an official statement, Roma confirmed that Ferguson joins the club on a season-long loan until the end of the 2025–2026 season, with an option to buy.
Ferguson was photographed with the number 11 shirt, which he will wear with the Italian side.
Born in Bettystown on October 19, 2004, Ferguson becomes the first Irish player in Roma’s history.
He started his career at Bohemians FC before being sold to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021.
In January 2025, he joined West Ham United on loan.
Ferguson made his senior debut for the Republic of Ireland national team in November 2022, and has since scored four goals in 18 appearances. Across club and country, he has played 103 matches, scoring 21 goals.
