As part of celebrating “Victory Day”, a delegation from the Russian house in Cairo, Murad Jatin, planted a number of trees in Orman Garden in Giza to commemorate the victims of WW2.

This was in cooperation with the Russian “Bapeda” association for voluntary work in Egypt, headed by Daria Matsuk, Valery Pripetkov, the director of the Russian school to the Russian Embassy in Cairo, and a group of school students.

Murad Jatin, the director of Russian cultural centers mentioned that it is important to remember this war, so as not to forget the heavy price suffered by the Russians and the people of the former Soviet Union for a bright future in which people feel safe.

These trees would be a peace message to future generations, and Jatin thanked Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Fattah, head of the Dokki district, for the effective support he provided in order to organize this event.
