Arteta Comments on Jesus ACL Injury Possibility

On Tuesday, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta commented on the injury status of the Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus sustained the injury during the FA Cup match against Manchester United.

Despite the reports about Jesus' ACL injury, Arteta refused to confirm whether the player sustained an ACL injury, that could sideline him for several months.

He said ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League match against Tottenham tomorrow: "We now know more, and it doesn’t look good at all. We need to consult another specialist, so we will likely have more information this afternoon."

It was reported that Arsenal may look to bring in a new striker during the ongoing transfer window, on the other hand, it is not the only area that needs newcomers.

"We have other issues as well. A player can bring things to a team in different ways. That is what we are trying to do," Arteta added.

"We are actively looking in the market to improve the squad. We would be naive not to do that. There is an opportunity to improve the squad."
