Arsenal have secured their place in the final of the UEFA Champions League after a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg of their semi-final tie.
The decisive moment came in the 44th minute when Bukayo Saka reacted quickest to a rebound inside the box, finishing past goalkeeper Jan Oblak after a saved attempt, giving Arsenal the crucial breakthrough.
The first leg in Madrid had ended 1–1, and Arsenal’s aggregate 2–1 victory confirms their return to the Champions League final for the first time since 2006.
Manager Mikel Arteta led a disciplined side that maintained control throughout the tie, with Arsenal continuing their unbeaten run in the competition this season.
Atletico Madrid, coached by Diego Simeone, pushed for an equaliser but were unable to break through a solid Arsenal defence anchored by goalkeeper David Raya.
Arsenal will now face either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain in the final, which will be played on May 30 at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.
The English club continue their impressive European campaign, having avoided defeat in all their Champions League matches this season while reaching their first final in nearly two decades.
