Arsenal Race to Sign Jesus in Summer Transfers

Arsenal have been interested in signing Jesus during the upcoming summer transfers as they compete with Juventus to make the move.

"Regardless of Nketiah's fate, Arsenal are light up front with a forward a top priority. Gabriel Jesus is Arteta's first-choice target and could be available this summer. Manchester City have already signed Erling Haaland and are cutting Julian Alvarez's loan agreement to bring him in as back-up," Mirror reported.

Coupled with Pep Guardiola's penchant for a striker-less system at times, Jesus would more often than not be warming the Etihad bench next term. Juventus are also interested in Jesus, though City would want in excess of £40 million for the Brazilian - and Arsenal will have to carefully balance their budget after missing out on the windfall Champions League qualification would have provided.

Arteta is also on the lookout for a midfielder, with Arsenal convinced they can complete a deal for Youri Tielemans. The Leicester City star has a year left on his current contract and the Foxes will consider selling this summer rather than losing the Belgian for nothing.

Manchester United is also linked with the 25-year-old. Tielemans is understood to still want a move to Arsenal despite them missing out on the Champions League, with the north Londoners likely to offer around £25m in the hope of sealing a bargain deal for an established Premier League talent.
