Arsenal F.C. were officially crowned champions of the Premier League for the 14th time in club history after a dramatic 1-1 draw between Manchester City F.C. and AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.

The title marks Arsenal’s first league triumph in 22 years, ending a long wait since their historic unbeaten “Invincibles” campaign under legendary manager Arsène Wenger during the 2003-04 season.

Under the leadership of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal produced a remarkable campaign built on defensive solidity and consistency, dominating several key statistical categories throughout the season.

Arsenal’s Defensive Numbers This Season

Most clean sheets in the league: 19

Fewest goals conceded: 26

Lowest expected goals against (xGA): 27.32

Fewest big chances conceded: 48

Lowest average shots faced per game: 8.2

Lowest average shots on target faced per game: 2.4

Fewest touches allowed inside their penalty area: 16.1 per match

At the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth stunned City by taking the lead in the 38th minute through Eli Junior Kroupi.

City pushed hard for an equalizer and eventually found one deep into stoppage time when Erling Haaland scored in the 95th minute.

Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush came on in the 76th minute as a substitute for Jérémy Doku.

The result left Manchester City second in the table with 78 points, four behind Arsenal’s 82 points with only one round remaining, officially handing the title to the North London club.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth moved to 56 points in sixth place, keeping their hopes alive for qualification to European competitions next season.
