On Thursday, Portuguese side Arouca announced the signing of Egyptian defender Omar Fayed from Turkish side Fenerbahçe on loan for a season.
In an official statement on its account on X, Arouca confirmed: “Arouca announce the acquisition of Omar Fayed on loan after reaching an agreement with his club Fenerbahçe.”
The club also welcomed the 20-year-old defender with a warm message: “Welcome to the Wolves, Omar. Omar Fayed strengthens the ranks of Arouca’s Wolves.”
Arouca began their Portuguese league campaign with a 3-1 victory over Vilafranquense on the opening round.
Fayed, who joined Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2023, has yet to feature for the first team and has spent time on loan with other clubs.
