Dutch manager Arne Slot confirmed that substituting Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the team's striker, won't happen often during his tenure, pointing to the great power the Pharaohs captain brings to the Reds during matches.
Slot said after Liverpool's hard-fought last-gasp win over Burnley, "I was very nervous because, after 90 minutes, when I saw how much stoppage time was added, I was shocked. I'm still shocked when we got the penalty, because five minutes of stoppage time seemed unreasonable to me."
He added, "I was shocked... and then I was happy because Salah scored the penalty."
Regarding the possibility of substituting Mohamed Salah during matches when he's not performing well, Slot said, "It might happen this season and next season, but it won't happen often."
