Armenian Ambassador Hails Egypt's Positive Role in Middle East

The Armenian ambassador to Egypt, Hrachyan Poladian, expressed on Tuesday his country's appreciation for Egypt's positive role in the Middle East and Mediterranean. 

In press statements, the Armenian ambassador stressed that Egypt is a force that works on stability and contributes to strengthening and developing security in the Middle East.

Moreover, Poladian praised Egypt’s role in combating terrorism, its mediation in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Libyan crisis, as well as its role in supporting energy security through the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF), and the tripartite cooperation mechanism between Egypt, Greece, and Cyprus.

He also pointed out that his country attaches great importance to enhancing cooperation with Egypt in the trade, economy, and investment fields, expressing hope to further increase bilateral trade and mutual investments in the coming years.

In addition, he said that preparations are currently underway to hold the 6th session of the Egyptian-Armenian intergovernmental committee, in the second half of 2022 in Cairo.

Concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, the Armenian ambassador hailed Egypt's tireless efforts to eradicate the pandemic, which resulted in allowing Armenian tourists to spend their vacations in Egypt.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt and Armenia will mark tomorrow, Wednesday, the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries.
