Argentinian Boca Juniors become the 30th club to reach the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup that will take place in the US.
The team captured the spot in the major club global tournament via the ranking pathway, after Argentinian San Lorenzo and Talleres, and Nacional of Uruguay who were among the closest name to capture the spot, were knocked out of the 2024 CONMEBOL Libertadores at the Round of 16.
Boca Juniors, who were not involved in the current continental competition, will compete in the club world cup championship on the back of their CONMEBOL Libertadores rankings in the previous three seasons, where they reached the final in 2023 and the Round of 16 in the two previous editions.
Previously, the winners of the CONMEBOL Libertadores over the last three seasons: Brazil's Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense secured three spots of the six open for the Latin Americans.
