Argentina will take on Honduras at 3:00 AM on Sunday in a friendly match as part of their final preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The match is part of Argentina’s build-up to the tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 10, 2026.
Argentina will begin their World Cup title defense on June 16 against Algeria, before facing Austria and Jordan in the group stage, with strong expectations to continue their success following their 2022 World Cup triumph.
Captain Lionel Messi leads the squad once again, while the team also includes key players such as Emiliano Martínez, Cristian Romero, Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister, Lautaro Martínez, and Julián Álvarez.
However, Paulo Dybala has been left out of the preliminary squad despite his role in Argentina’s 2022 World Cup-winning campaign.
