Lionel Messi played a central role in the win, setting up the opening goal in the fourth minute with a precise effort that found Julián Álvarez, who calmly finished to give Argentina an early lead.
Messi then added his name to the scoresheet in the 43rd minute, reinforcing his influence on the match and guiding his team into a comfortable halftime advantage.
Argentina maintained full control after the break, with Nicolás Otamendi scoring the third goal in the 50th minute. The lead was extended further in the 68th minute when a Zambia defender scored an own goal, making it 4-0.
Valentín Barco completed the scoring deep into stoppage time (90+4), sealing an emphatic performance for the South American side.
Argentina entered the match on the back of a 2-1 win over the Mauritania national football team, continuing a strong run of results ahead of the World Cup, which is set to kick off on June 11 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
