Architectural Masterpiece in New Capital.. Lighting Adorns Parliament's Building

The Arab Contractors Company, Saturday evening, carried out a lighting test for the Parliament's Building in the New Administrative Capital.

This test saw the lighting of the middle and upper domes, which are among the largest in the world, depicting a masterpiece in the new capital, as it is expected to break a record in the Guinness World Records.

According to previous press statements, the central metal dome weighs 320 tons and was installed by 3 winches, while, the upper dome weighs 250 tons and is 57 meters in diameter. It was fully implemented and poured using modern sopesticated machinery. As for the height of the building, it reaches up to 75 meters high.

 On his part, Eng. Ahmed Mahmoud, Director of Parliament Project in the Administrative Capital confirmed that the project is one of the largest implemented in Egypt and the Middle East, with a surface of 26 feddans and a total area of ​​109 thousand meters, 181 thousand meters of construction surfaces and 160,000 cubic meters of concrete.

He said that the main building consists of eight floors apart from the main hall, as well as service buildings, including a mosque, a medical center, a police building, a fire unit, a civil registry, conference rooms, a media center, an information center, and a training center.

Lighting Adorns Parliament's BuildingThe building also houses offices with a capacity of 3,200 employees, along with 3 main suites located on a landscaped area. Moreover, the main hall can accommodate up to 1000 members, 3 times the capacity of the Cairo building.
