Arab Parl't Praises Egypt's Pivotal Role in Region

Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker Adel Al-Asoomi praised on Thursday Egypt's pivotal role, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in supporting and defending Arab causes.

This came during Al-Asoomi's meeting with Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Parliamentary Affairs, Salah Abdel Sadiq at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament.

AP Speaker stressed - during the meeting - the Arab Parliament's keenness to enhance cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a way that achieves the hopes and aspirations of the Arab people, hailing the efforts made by the Ministry and the discreet Egyptian diplomacy to support joint Arab action and serve the issues of the Arab nation.

On his part, the Egyptian official stressed the importance of the role played by the Arab Parliament at the Arab, regional and international levels, to serve the issues of the region, especially its new strategy in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy to go hand in hand with official diplomacy.
