Arab Parliament Voices Concern over Violence in Mogadishu

Arab Parliament President Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi expressed on Sunday his concern over the violence acts that took place in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, which led to a number of deaths and injuries.

In a statement, Arab Parliament President called on all Somali parties to give priority to the supreme national interest of the Somali people, and to engage constructively in a serious dialogue that would lead to reaching a comprehensive national agreement that preserves security and achieves stability in the Somali Republic.

He also reaffirmed the firm position of the Arab Parliament regarding supporting all efforts aimed at achieving security and national unity in the Somali Republic, in a manner that meets the Somali people aspirations for development and stability.
