The Arab Parliament strongly condemned the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by large numbers of Israeli settlers and extremists, stressing that these are provocative steps that will lead to more tension and aggravate the state of security instability in the region.
The Arab Parliament said - in a statement on Sunday evening - that these provocative practices come as an extension of the grave violations committed by the occupying power in the occupied Palestinian territories, calling on the international community to confront such measures as they will plunge the region into a state of instability.
The Arab Parliament stressed the need to stop any measures or practices targeting the Arab, Islamic and Christian identity of the city of Jerusalem and its sanctities, stressing the importance of all international legitimacy resolutions that warn against changing the existing historical and legal status of Jerusalem as an occupied city.
