The Arab Parliament (AP) strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s launching of a ballistic missile towards the United Arab Emirates, which was successfully intercepted by the UAE Air Defense Forces.

Fortunately, the attack resulted in no casualties, as the residue of the ballistic missile fell outside populated areas.

The Arab Parliament asserted that security of the UAE is an integral part of Arab national security, stressing that such heinous acts would not discourage the UAE from providing humanitarian services to the fraternal people of Yemen.

The Parliament held the international community fully responsible for taking firm positions towards these terrorist attacks. It also called for punishing the perpetrators and those who support them financially to prevent the terrorist coup militia from acquiring advanced weapons, ballistic missiles and drones to use for carrying out their terrorist acts targeting civilians.

It also reiterated its stand by the UAE in its measures to protect its security and stability, the safety of its citizens and residents and the preservation of its sovereignty.

The Arab Parliament expressed its confidence in the wisdom of the leadership of the United Arab Emirates and its ability to deal with such absurd acts in conformity with the rules of international law.
