The Arab Parliament (AP) strongly condemned the terrorist attack by the Houthi militia with four drones targeting the water desalination plant in Al-Shaqiq and the Aramco facility in Jizan in the southern region of Saudi Arabia, which caused some civilian damage including the Dhahran al-Janoub power station.

In a statement, the AP strongly denounced the fact that these hostile attacks come at a time when the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, has announced the hosting of intra-Yemeni consultations to end the state of war and prevent bloodshed.

The AP emphasized that the continued hostile attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia against the KSA amid calls for peace, confirm its refusal of any attempts to put Yemen on the path to political stability and end the human suffering of the Yemeni people.

The Arab Parliament stressed that the Houthi militia is a terrorist group and does not possess a decision; and renewed its call upon the international community to act immediately to stop arms supply to this group and to put pressure on it to accept peace.

The AP reiterated its full solidarity with the KSA in its actions to preserve its sovereignty and the safety and security of its people and residents.
