Secretary-General of Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, stated today, Monday, that the League firmly and principledly supports the Egyptian and Jordanian stance rejecting ideas being promoted regarding the displacement of Palestinians.
His remarks came during a press statement upon his arrival in Rome to inaugurate the Arab-Italian Economic Forum.
Aboul Gheit added that the Arab position is unwavering on rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from their land, whether in Gaza or the West Bank.
He emphasized the unified Arab support for Egypt and Jordan’s stance, making it clear that the recurring proposals to displace landowners from their territories are unacceptable and not worth discussing.
He concluded, "The steadfast position of Egypt and Jordan, coupled with the legendary resilience of the Palestinian people on their land and the Arab support for rejecting displacement, will thwart all plans aimed at eliminating the Palestinian cause."
