The Arab League General Secretariat, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, is hosting the 38th meeting of the Arab Counterterrorism Experts Team and a workshop on the risks of terrorist exploitation of artificial intelligence from Feb. 9–11, 2026, at its headquarters in Cairo.
Chaired by Col. Nasser bin Fahd Al-Subaie, the meeting brings together representatives from Arab justice, interior and foreign ministries, counterterrorism bodies, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and regional partners.
Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Maha Bekhit said the agenda includes reviewing implementation of recommendations from the 37th meeting in Tunis, strengthening cooperation with the United Nations and international organizations, and examining terrorist use of drones, modern applications and cryptocurrencies for financing.
