Arab League Holds Emergency Summit in Riyadh Next November to Discuss Escalation in Gaza

The League of Arab announced, yesterday evening, Monday, that it had received an official request from both the State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold an emergency summit in Riyadh next November 11.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, said that the General Secretariat of the Arab League received the official request to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip since October 7th, indicating that the League of Nations circulated the Palestinian and Saudi memorandums to the Arab countries. Members.

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said, "The operations carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities are unacceptable, and the Arab states firmly stand in solidarity with the Palestinians who are being subjected to massacres at the hands of the occupation forces."

This came during the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers regarding developments in Palestine.

During the ministerial meeting, Aboul Gheit stressed that what he described as “retaliatory operations” practiced by the Israeli occupation forces would not bring stability.
