Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit congratulated Morocco’s national team on winning the Arab Cup, praising the tournament as a successful celebration of Arab sport and unity.
In a post on the social media platform X, Aboul Gheit extended his “sincere congratulations” to Morocco for clinching the title and wished Jordan’s team better luck in future competitions. He also commended Qatar for hosting the championship, describing it as another well-organized and successful Arab sporting event.
Aboul Gheit’s message highlighted the importance of regional tournaments in strengthening ties among Arab nations and showcasing athletic talent across the region.
The Arab Cup brought together teams from across the Arab world and was hosted in Qatar, continuing the country’s role as a major venue for international and regional sporting events.
