The 7th Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum on Radio and Television opened Monday in Chongqing, running from November 4 to 6.
The event is organized jointly by the Media and Communication Sector of the League of Arab States, China’s National Radio and Television Administration, and the Arab States Broadcasting Union, under the framework of the Arab-China Cooperation Forum’s media program.
The forum brings together Arab information ministers, media executives, and Chinese officials to explore new avenues of collaboration in broadcasting and digital media.
Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the League’s Media and Communication Sector, who leads the Arab League delegation, said the forum reflects a strong commitment to advancing audiovisual cooperation. He emphasized its role in promoting accurate and balanced media portrayals, fostering a culture of peace, and deepening cultural and human ties between the Arab world and China.
