Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker Adel Al Asoomi praised on Monday, the launching of the industrial partnership between Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Jordan, noting that it represents a key step towards achieving the hoped-for Arab economic integration.

In a press release, AP speaker said that the Arab region is in dire need of these blocs now, as the world is moving towards forming strong economic entities to face any repercussions, like the negative effects of Coronavirus on the world’s economies, as well as the Ukrainian crisis.

He pointed out that the region possesses enormous economic potentials that must be exploited, in order to achieve real development renaissance that supports Arab aspirations and the future of the upcoming generations.

"The volume of inter-Arab trade is still below the Arab ambition, and these partnerships will contribute positively to pushing forward towards strengthening it and raising it to higher levels," the AP speaker added.

"The launching of this partnership from UAE embodies its keenness to enhance Arab economic and industrial integration, as well as the keenness of the three countries' political leadership to enhance Arab cooperation in all fields and at all levels," Al-Asoomi added.
