AOU Uni. Wins INJAZ Egypt`s Award in Entrepreneurship

Abdelrahman Bakri, a student at Arab Open University (AOU)`s Faculty of Information Technology ranked first in the competition organized by INJAZ Egypt in the field of entrepreneurship. He was awarded EGP 150,000.

According to INJAZ Egypt, there were 320 candidates for the award; they were assessed in multiple stages in order to remain eight participants in the last stage.

Bakri won the award because of his outstanding project which impressed the appraisal committee for the award.

“Bakri`s winning in this competition is a certificate of appreciation to all of us at the university,” said AOU President Abdel Hai Ebaad. “This is the result of AOU`s efforts for a high-level education that links the students with the labor market. It supports them in improving their skills, and discover their talents."

Ebaad added: “AOU supports these ideas as a reflection of the political leadership`s ideas led by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, which seek to empower young people launching their creativity and abilities as an essential engine for the development of society.

62% of Egypt`s citizens are young people, so by their abilities, it will reach a high status.

INJAZ Egypt is committed to providing participatory education opportunities in the areas of financial culture, and entrepreneurship. It seeks to provide youth with employment skills through partnerships with educational and businesses institutions in around Egypt.
