Hossam Hosni, head of the scientific committee to combat the Coronavirus in Egypt, said that there has been a noticeable increase in cases of Coronavirus infections by up to 70% during the past week.

Hosni added, during a telephone interview on Thursday evening: “Anyone who feels symptoms must see a specialized doctor and conduct an analysis to determine the appropriate treatment.

He added that anybody suspects contracting the virus should  isolate himself at home until the tests are carried out and to confirm whether he is infected with Corona or not.”

On the other hand, Adviser to the Egyptian President for Health Affairs, Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, revealed the reality of the possibility of implementing a complete or partial closure of the country to limit the spread of Corona if the rate of increase in infections continues.

Taj El-Din said during televised statements: “This matter is well studied, and if we need any of these stages, we will announce it in time,” He went on to say that as for the precautionary measures regarding the workplaces of employees, there is a clinical suspicion even if it is an ordinary influenza infection, as influenza and Corona as the two viral diseases are contagious, and we must respect the examinations in order to preserve public health and citizens.

He continued  that he common cold or influenza must be noticed, and it may have repercussions similar to the consequences of infection with the Coronavirus.

He continued that business owners, direct managers, or those responsible for the medical file must respect the patient's complaint: "Even if 2 out of every 10 people appear claiming the disease, this is the best preventive measure, so that no infected person transmits the infection to his co-workers."
