AS Monaco have completed the permanent signing of Spanish forward Ansu Fati from Barcelona following a successful loan spell during the 2025-26 season.

Fati has signed a four-year contract with the Ligue 1 club until 2030, with Monaco reportedly paying around €11 million to secure the 23-year-old's services.

The move comes after an impressive campaign in France, where Fati scored 12 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions. His 11 Ligue 1 goals marked the most prolific league season of his career, while his 12-goal tally made him Monaco's second-highest scorer during the campaign.

The Spanish international also posted the best goal-contribution rate in Ligue 1 last season, averaging one goal involvement every 110 minutes.

Fati's permanent transfer brings an end to his 15-year association with Barcelona. He joined the club's famed La Masia academy in 2011 before making his senior debut at just 16 years old, quickly earning recognition as one of the brightest talents in world football and drawing comparisons to Lionel Messi.

However, a series of injuries disrupted his development at Camp Nou, and he struggled for regular playing time following the arrival of head coach Hansi Flick ahead of the 2024-25 season.
