Everton's manager Carlo Ancelotti claimed on Friday Premier League (PL) manager of the month award for September.

The 61-year-old manager won the prize after guiding Everton to a 100 percent start with victories over Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace in the month.

On his part the Italian manager expressed his pleasure over winning the prize.

"I'm really pleased, it's a great achievement. I have to share with my team and my players," he said according to the Premier League official website.

"We've started really well and we hope to continue it and to win this award again."

Ancelotti won after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of football experts. He beat fellow nominees Jurgen Klopp, Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith.
