The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation announced that an An-2 plane with 3 people on board disappeared from radar in Yakutia, eastern Russia, on Tuesday.
According to the Russia Today website, the Local Emergency Management said in a statement that it had received this morning information that a plane belonging to a private company had taken off from the Yakutsk republic’s capital, had not reached its destination on time.
The statement added that, according to preliminary information, there were three people on board the plane, including two crew members and a passenger.
The local company, "Polarne Avialinie", said that an An-26 aircraft with a team of rescuers on board, took off to search for the missing plane.
