Amr Diab’s new song "Ya Baladna Ya Helwa" became #1 trending on YouTube after his video received more than half a million views within hours of its launch.
Diab, who barely makes media appearances, showed during the song in several tourist attractions, including scenes from on top of a Nile fountain, highlighting the country's charm, civilization, and historical buildings.
Diab had entered into closed preparations during the past days with a number of song makers, including poet Tamer Hussein, music arranger Tarek Madkour and composer Aziz Al-Shafi'i to finish the song.
Super Star Dina El Sherbiny, who is Diab's partner, posted the song on her Twitter account and commented: "The real legend. The one and only."
It is worth mentioning that Amr Diab's latest Album "Sahran", included 16 songs in which he collaborated with a number of poets, composers and distributors, most notably Ayman Bahgat Amar, Tamer Hussein, Saber Kamal, Amr Moustafa, Aziz Al-Shafi'i, Mohamed Yehia, Tarek Madkour, Rami Samir, Osama Al-Hindi and Nader Hamdy.
The album also included a cooperation with his daughter Jana Diab, who participated in singing and composing the song "Gamila", as well as Ahmed Zaghloul, Amr Diab's business director, who composed "Rooh" in the same album.
The 58 years old singer is the best selling Middle Eastern artist and the only singer to have received 6 African Music Awards along with a Guinness World Record.
