On Sunday, Egyptian squash stars Amina Orfi, and Mohamed El Sherbiny qualified for the final of the Squash On Fire Open tournament.
Orfi defeated Sabrina Sobhy 3-2 in a contest that lasted for 73 minutes. On the other hand, El Sherbiny defeated Saurav Ghosal 3-1 in a 68-minute game.
However, Farida Mohamed was knocked out of the championship 3-1.
On Wednesday, Squash On Fire Open tournament kicked off with the participation of 11 Egyptian squash stars.
The tournament takes place between February 22, and 26. The total estimation of prizes is $ 50,000.
Six Egyptian male stars took part in the tournament. They are Youssef Ibrahim, Omar Mosaad, Mostafa El Serti, Mohamed Al Sherbini, Karim Al Hammami, and Yehia Al Nawasani.
On the other hand, five Egyptian female stars are scheduled for the championship, and they are Farida Mohamed, Nada Abbas, Nadin Shahin, Sana Ibrahim, and Jana Shiha.
It is noteworthy to mention that PSA issued its monthly international squash players rating.
Egyptian icon Mostafa Assal secured his place on the top of the list, while Ali Farag moved back to third place. El Shorbagy Brothers came fifth and sixth.
On the other hand, Tarek Mo'men came seventh, Mazen Hesham came eighth, and Fares El Desouki came ninth.
Regarding women, Nouran Gohar also secured first place, followed by Nour El Sherbieny, and Hania Al Hammammy. Nour El Tayeb came sixth, and Rawan El Arabi came seventh.
