In an enthusiastic and optimistic atmosphere, Korean Ambassador Hong Jin-wook met with a group of students from the Korean Language Department at Ain Shams University's Alsun Faculty at his residence to share insights into ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and South Korea.

The Korean ambassador said that Egypt is a central country in the Middle East and Africa and that its strategic position between the continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe qualifies it to lead the entire region.

The Korean ambassador stressed that bilateral relations between South Korea and Egypt have witnessed outstanding achievements recently in various areas of cooperation.

The Ambassador also stressed the role of students as speakers of the Korean language in promoting understanding and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Amid extreme precautionary measures, there was an open dialogue between the Korean ambassador and students on the similarities between Korean and Egyptian culture, traditional holidays in Korea, Ramadan’s atmosphere in Egypt, as well as the ambassador's one-day fasting experience at the beginning of Ramadan.

The Ambassador participated in a cultural contest with the students and honored the winners.

For their part, the students expressed their gratitude for attending this important meeting.

The Korean Embassy released on its YouTube channel some extracts of the meeting.
