The world-famed online shopping platform, Amazon, is getting ready for establishing its in-person presence by opening the first in-person clothes store, Amazon Style, Sputnik reported on Thursday.

Amazon Style is set to be opened later this year in California, and it will include different selections for women, men's clothes, shoes, and accessories.

The new store will be a new edition to Amazon's in-person cashierless facilities, alongside the platform's grocery and book stores.

Simonia Vasen, Amazon Style managing director, said USA Today: "We believe our unique store design, our advanced technology and thoughtful curation will make it easier than ever for customers to have an inspiring, convenient, enjoyable and ultimately successful shopping experience."

In the same context, Neil Saunders, the managing director of research platform GlobalData, said that Amazon's stores will set a huge competition with other clothing brands and companies as "A presence in malls and locations where traditional retailers have reigned supreme.”

Saunders expressed: “With its new venture, Amazon will be testing whether it can widen its customer base, carve out more of a name for itself in fashion, and learn more about shopper behavior."

He concluded: “Like most things Amazon does, this is an experiment and may, or may not be, one that is rolled out on a national basis.”
