Amal Maher to Present New Music in Alamein Concert

Egyptian singer Amal Maher will perform live at the Al-Alamein festival, in Al-Alamein Arena, in New Alamein, Marsa Matruh, on Friday, July 29.

She is set to present several of her popular songs as well as five tracks from her forthcoming album.

The event is organized by the “Tazkarti” company and marks the acclaimed singer’s long-awaited comeback following the end of her health crisis.

The concert ‪ticket prices as follows: the silver ticket price is available for EGP 650, the Gold ticket is available for EGP 1000, and the Platinum ticket price is sold for EGP 1500.

"I'm preparing myself mentally and psychologically for the upcoming concert. I feel like it is the first concert to present in my life I'm extremely nervous," Maher said in a statement on Tuesday.

She pointed out that gets frightened of the moment of meeting the audience during every concert out of the responsibility she bears and out of the love and trust her fans hold for her music.

"The fear is greater and the responsibility is more difficult this time,” she added.

Maher, was born on February 19, 1985. began singing as a child by presenting songs by iconic singer Umm Kulthum.

She was discovered at the age of fifteen and enrolled at the Conservatory of Arabic music to begin her singing career.

The acclaimed singer soon met composer Mohamed Diae, whom she eventually married and became the father of her son, Omar. She filed for porce a year later.

She recorded her first song in 2006 and received the support of Ammar El Sherei, who she considers to be her spiritual father.

The 37-year-old made her last performance at the pyramids on June 12, 2020.

Earlier this year, Maher backtracked on her announcement and teased her return to music.

In June 2021, Maher announced that she was quitting music due to special circumstances beyond her control.

Later on, the singer opened up about her retirement decision and noted she went through a bad psychological state following the death of her aunt, who was close to her heart.

She added that breaking off her engagement had affected her and led to her decision.
