Amal Maher Quits Music

Egyptian superstar Amal Maher announced Wednesday on Facebook that she is quitting music.

Maher didn't reveal the reasons behind her decision, however, she cited that it was due to special circumstances beyond her control.

The superstar noted that she is currently only thinking of stepping away from the artistic community.

Maher added that she will postpone her upcoming new album indefinitely.

She thanked her fans and everyone who supported her on both personal and professional levels.

The superstar had recently revealed on Instagram that someone had amid to close her official website and all her accounts. She also received another blow after her official YouTube channel was deleted.

Maher began singing as a child and was discovered at the age of fifteen. She enrolled at the Conservatory of Arabic music to start a singing career and soon met composer Mohamed Diae, whom she eventually married and the father of her son, Omar. She filed for porce a year later.

She made her last performance at the pyramids on June 12, 2020.
