Egypt's Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna witnessed the launch of the Giza Exhibition of Heritage Crafts and Handicrafts. The exhibit was organized by the Giza Governorate and the Yemeni Business Council in Cairo, in partnership with the "Hands of Egypt" platform.
The event takes place at the Pyramids Hotel in Dokki and will run for three days, from August 12th to August 14th.
"This Exhibition is part of the political leadership's efforts to support and develop the handicraft industry, which plays a significant role in creating job opportunities for women, youth, and girls across all Egyptian governorates," said the minister.
He also revealed that 64 exhibitors from 6 governorates (Giza, New Valley, Aswan, Fayoum, Beheira and Menoufia) are participating in the exhibition, in addition to exhibitors from Yemen, China, India, Mexico, Peru, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan and Syria to showcase their products and their craft and cultural heritage.
"The Ministry is committed to supporting local handicrafts and heritage products, encouraging and assisting craftsmen and industries to increase sales and promote small producers and designers in villages and cities across Egypt," Amna noted.
