The Allianz Arena is set to host a blockbuster showdown on Wednesday night as Bayern Munich welcome Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final, with a place in the final in Budapest on the line.

The tie arrives in dramatic fashion after a thrilling first leg in Paris, where PSG edged Bayern 5-4 in one of the most entertaining matches of the tournament.

The encounter, described by some media outlets as a potential “match of the century,” delivered relentless attacking football and constant momentum shifts from start to finish.

Bayern struck first through Harry Kane and Michael Olise, but PSG responded quickly with goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Joao Neves.

Ousmane Dembele added a penalty before halftime to give the French side control. In the second half, PSG extended their advantage with further goals from Kvaratskhelia and Dembele, seemingly taking command of the tie.

However, late strikes from Dayot Upamecano and Luis Diaz kept Bayern’s hopes alive heading into the decisive second leg.

Tonight, Bayern face a clear task. The German champions must win by at least two goals to qualify directly for the final, or by one goal to force extra time.

They will once again rely on Kane’s goalscoring form and their home advantage at the Allianz Arena.

PSG, meanwhile, arrive in strong away form, having won eight of their last nine matches on the road.

With Kvaratskhelia in outstanding form and Dembele continuing to deliver in key moments, the French champions will look to protect their narrow aggregate lead and secure another final appearance.

Statistically, the matchup remains finely balanced. Both sides carry strong attacking records but have shown defensive vulnerabilities throughout the season, suggesting another open and high-scoring contest could be on the cards.

Bayern are also aiming to reach their 12th Champions League final, which would place them just behind Real Madrid in all-time appearances, while PSG are targeting back-to-back final appearances in pursuit of European glory.

With everything still to play for, the stage is set for another high-intensity European night in Munich.
