The Senegalese Football Association decided to extend the contract of Aliou Cisse, despite the reports indicating that Cisse was considering departing the national team.
The Senegalese National Team was eliminated from the 2023 AFCON after losing to the Hosts, Cote d'Ivoire 5-4 by penalties.
Cisse will lead the Senegalese National team in the 2025 AFCON, and 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, according to the French "Sport" outlet.
Cisse led the Tiranga Lions to capture their first AFCON title in 2021, after defeating Egypt by penalties.
