On Saturday, Ali Maaloul, Tunisian back left player, renewed his contract with the Red Devils after his contract expired on June 30, according to a source from the club.

Maaloul renewed his contract with Al Ahly for one more season.

Currently, Maaloul is recovering from the latest Achilles tendon surgery he had last May.

According to the source, Al Ahly won't register Maaloul in the squad's list for summer's competitions, but, he will be enlisted in the winter's list.

On Friday, Russian club Sochi announced that their Moroccan player, Yahia Attiyat Allah, signed with Al Ahly, in the ongoing summer transfer window.

It is expected that Attiyat Allah will play as a back left like Tunisia's Ali Maaloul who was sidelined by an Achilles tendon injury.

The Russian club revealed that the Moroccan player will join the Red Devils for a year on-loan with a to-buy option.

Al Ahly confirmed the news by releasing a short video to welcome the player. They overviewed the history of the players who made unforgettable achievements in such a position like the late Mohamed Abdel Wahab.

Attiyat Allah is considered Al-Ahly’s second signing in this summer after signing Youssef Ayman from Qatar's Al Duhail.

The Red Devils, officially, crowned as the champions of the 2023/2024 Egyptian Premier League after defeating Smouha 1-0 on Thursday.

It is the 44th time for Al Ahly to capture the title.

During this season, Al Ahly managed to set a new record by extending its win streak to 20 matches, and the team's player Wessam Abu Ali broke the record of Walid Azzarou by scoring the biggest number of goals, and being the league's top scorer in only 4 months.

Abu Ali also is the first player to win 4 successive Man of the Match prizes in the EPL.
