On Monday, Al Ahly icon Ali Maaloul's agent John Edward, Agent announced the departure of the Tunisian star from the Red Castle.
Edward relieved the club's management of any pressure regarding Maaloul’s inclusion in the squad for the upcoming season.
In the statement, Edward said: "We have decided to part ways with Al Ahly today to avoid any awkwardness for all parties, especially after the player's full recovery from injury."
He added that no negotiations from the management of Al Ahly were started regarding the future of the player.
Edward continued: "Maaloul wishes Al Ahly success in the next phase and extends his gratitude to the club's loyal and incredible fans, who played a significant role in his continued presence throughout this successful chapter in the club's history."
