Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf held a phone conversation on Monday with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the evolving situation following the Israeli aggression against Iran and its implications for regional security and stability.
According to a statement reported by the Algerian News Agency (APS), Minister Attaf reaffirmed Algeria’s firm position in condemning the aggression.
He also stressed the urgent need for the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in upholding international law and the principles of the UN Charter, in order to deter Israel’s multi-front assaults, which have plunged the entire region into a spiral of violence, insecurity, and instability.
