Algeria will take responsibility for the medical treatment of 300 injured children from Gaza, providing them with comprehensive care, according to sources close to El Nahar newspaper.
According to the same sources, these children will receive treatment in hospitals located in the capital, Algiers, as well as Oran and Constantine.
It's worth noting that children continue to be among the primary victims of the ongoing Israeli occupation's aggression in Gaza, which has now entered its 61st consecutive day.
Richard Pepperkorn, a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the occupied Palestinian territories, stated on Tuesday that "on average, one child is killed every 10 minutes in Gaza due to intensive attacks by the occupying army since October 7th."
During a press conference at the United Nations office in Geneva, Switzerland, he added, "I believe we are close to one of the darkest moments in human history, and that's why we need a permanent ceasefire in Gaza."
