The Royal Dutch Football Association announced on Monday that the Netherlands national team will play a friendly match against Algeria national football team in Rotterdam as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The match will serve as the Dutch side’s final warm up before traveling to the United States for the global tournament.
The Netherlands national football team are also scheduled to play another friendly before beginning their Group F campaign, which includes a clash against Japan national football team in Dallas on June 14.
The World Cup draw placed Algeria national football team in Group J alongside Argentina national football team, Austria national football team, and Jordan national football team.
Meanwhile, the Dutch side’s group features another North African representative, Tunisia national football team, with the two teams set to meet in Kansas City on June 25.
In addition to the Algeria friendly, the Netherlands will play two more preparatory matches this month, first against Norway national football team in Amsterdam and then versus Ecuador national football team in Eindhoven, as part of an intensive build up to the 2026 World Cup.
