Algeria ended their 29-year wait for an Africa Cup of Nations title by beating Senegal 1-0 to win the tournament in Egypt.
Algeria made the ideal start of the game when forward Baghdad Bounedjah unleashed a 20-yard shot that took a huge deflection and looped over Senegal's keeper into the net.
Teranga's Lions forward M'Baye Niang came close to equalize the scoring in the 37th minute after he fired a terrific left-foot shot just over Algeria's bar.

Seven minutes later, Algeria's keeper Raïs M'Bolhi brought into action as his great save denied Niang's swirling right-foot shot.
