Algeria maintained their perfect start to their Africa Cup of Nations campaign by beating Tanzania 3-0 to qualify for the last 16 as Group C winners.

Desert Warriors' forward Islam Slimani opened the scoring with a right-foot shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner in the 34th minute.

Five minutes later, Napoli's midfielder Adam Ounas then doubled his side's lead through a left-foot shot from the center of Tanzania's penalty area.

Ounas added a third with a right-foot shot from the right side of the box to the center of Taifa Stars' goal.

Algeria now top Group C with nine points from three consecutive victories, while Tanzania lie bottom of this group after they lost all their games in the tournament.

Senegal defeated Kenya 3-0 in the other game to finish second in the group, while the Harambee Stars finished with three points but could still qualify as one of four best third-placed teams.
