The Egyptian coastal city, Alexandria, is going to witness a special event- the resumption of the Alexandria International Sailing Championship's events. The tournament is going to take place from the 15th until the 20th of October.

Since the nineties, the Egyptian Yacht Club in Alexandria kept on organizing the tournament, unfortunately, stopped, but now it is coming back.

Players from the following countries will participate in October's event: Egypt (the host country), Morocco, Kazakhstan, India, Greece, England, Malaysia, Pakistan, and France.

Worth noting is that the Kazakh team usually organizes training camps in Egypt and this year they were training in Dahab.

After the international tournament, the Egyptian Sailing and Water Ski Federation is going to celebrate the Arab Sailing Championship, also in Alexandria. In addition to Egypt, players from the following countries will take part: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq.

Such kinds of tournaments are not only taking place because of their importance on the sports level but also to attract the world attention to the Egyptian tourist destinations.

Also, the Giza Pyramids are going to host the CIB Women's World Championship, from 24th of October to the 1st of November. Also the CIB Men's Egyptian Squash Open, will run from the 25th of October to the 1st of November.
