Today, Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz, two-time defending Wimbledon champion and current world No. 2, is gearing up for a fiery showdown against Italian world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the final of the tournament.
Both have firmly established themselves on the global stage, snatching the spotlight from tennis’s “legendary trio”: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, who dominated the sport for decades.
Djokovic, the last remaining member of the trio at 38 years old, exited the tournament in the semifinals after a straight-sets loss to Sinner, who is seen by many as a successor to the Serbian star's style and dominance.
On the other hand, Alcaraz had to battle for over three hours to overcome American fifth seed Taylor Fritz, securing a spot in a Grand Slam final for the sixth time in his career and the third consecutive time on Wimbledon's grass courts.
