On Saturday, the Spanish Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz successfully continued his Indian Wells campaign to defend his title.

He defeated Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner, handing his first defeat of 2024.

The Indian Wells title holder will face Daniil Medvedev in the final of the tournament.

The 2023 Wimbledon winner defeated Sinner 1-6, 6-3, 6-2, ending his 19 successive win streak.

With this result, Alcaraz secured his ranking as world's No.2 in the upcoming world rankings next week.

Alcaraz and Sinner's game was disrupted by a three-hour rain delay at 2-1 in the first set.

He said: "Matches with Jannik are always special," adding: "We know we have to play at our highest level to win. We have to put magic on the court, unbelievable points and for the crowd it is also wonderful."
