The Authority of Cairo International Stadium approved hosting the final game of Al Zamalek at the CAF Champions League against the Sudanese Al Marikh.
Al Zamalek, officially, received a letter of having their game against Al Marikh at the prestigious stadium on Friday at 9 pm.
Last month, the Egyptian Al Zamalek lost to Algerian Chabab Riadhi de Belouizdad (CRB) 0-2 at Stade 5 Juillet 1962, Hadjout, Algeria. The game was one of the CAF Champions League group stage.
After their loss, Al Zamalek were officially knocked out of the tournament.
On the other hand, the Algerian team, and Espérance Sportive de Tunis qualified for the quarter-final of the CAF Champions League.
ES Tunis are in first place with 10 points, followed by CRB with 9 points. The Sudanese Al Marikh are in third place with 5 points, and finally, the Cairo-based team are at the bottom of the group with 4 points.
